ABLE Charity Golf & Dinner 2026 Unites Community in Support of Restoring Dignity and Independence

Singapore, 29 May 2026 –

Approximately 130 golfers, sponsors, partners and supporters came together at Tanah Merah Country Club for the ABLE Charity Golf & Dinner 2026, raising close to S$198,000 in support of persons with acquired physical disabilities and their families.

The event was graced by Guest of Honour Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Law & Ministry of Social and Family Development, together with ABLE Patron Mr Lim Boon Heng, ABLE Board Chairman Mr Andrew Quek, and many long-time partners and supporters who continue to journey alongside ABLE in creating a more inclusive Singapore.

The day began with a friendly golf tournament, where participants enjoyed an afternoon on the fairways alongside novelty games before gathering for an evening of dinner, fellowship and fundraising. Hosted by Happy Fei Fei, the dinner programme featured tournament and novelty prize presentations, lucky draws, a charity auction and moments of reflection on the lives transformed through ABLE’s work.

In her welcome address, CEO Ms Geraldyn Lim shared the story of Rosley, whose journey after a below-knee amputation reflects the challenges many persons with acquired physical disabilities face—not only the loss of mobility, but also the loss of confidence, independence and purpose. Through rehabilitation, job coaching and support from ABLE, Rosley was eventually able to return to work.

One moment from his story resonated deeply throughout the evening. After securing employment, Rosley was once again able to give his mother pocket money—a simple act that spoke not of financial assistance, but of dignity restored. His story, together with another client story shared at each guest’s table, reminded everyone that recovery is about far more than physical rehabilitation. It is about rebuilding lives, restoring purpose and creating opportunities to contribute once again.

Funds raised from the evening will help strengthen ABLE’s 4Rs framework—Rehabilitation, Reintegration, Return-to-Work and Respite—supporting persons with acquired physical disabilities as they regain independence, reconnect with their communities, return to meaningful employment where possible, and receive continued support alongside their caregivers.

ABLE extends its heartfelt appreciation to our Guest of Honour, Patron, sponsors, golfers, donors, partners, volunteers and organising committee for making this event possible. Every conversation, every sponsorship and every contribution helps ensure that more individuals like Rosley can rebuild their confidence, rediscover their purpose and look towards the future with hope.

Together, we continue enabling people and changing lives.
